I was told by a friend to smell the Avent plastic bottles. I did and was rather taken aback by the smell. Apparently the smell is from the micro bacteria which are breeding in the scratches which we cant see in the bottle caused by brushing. Avent does recommend us to change the bottles every 6 months. I wonder why.
Because of the recent concern over leaching chemicals in plastic baby bottles, many parents have been looking for an alternative. It is safer to use glass baby bottles as it is bisphenol A ( bpA) , phthalate, PVC and polycarbonate-free.
Weego comes in a new design and safety twist: the bottle is covered with a modern sleeve that will help protect the bottle from breakage and also prevent bumping into other articles in your diaper bag.Drop test has been done on these bottles to test its durability.
The sleeve is free of plastics and is 100% non-toxic. The bottle and the sleeve can be boiled or put in the dishwasher together. The silicone nipple should be hand-washed and is also latex-free and non-toxic. The plastic ring, plug and cap contain no polycarbonates and are food grade, FDA approved and recyclable. The cap and ring should be hand washed only. The sleeve provides a good gripping surface during feeding and also a great tactile experience for your baby.
